Why do I keep "Jána's Hope" in their AKC registered names?
(Lovely Lady of Jána's Hope, Sugary Shakespeare of Jána's Hope, etc.)

Jána Jordan-White
4/19/1964 - 8/19/2009

Jána was my best friend and sister in Christ for many years. She loved the Lord. She loved people. And she loved to laugh. In October of 2005, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through multiple surgeries, chemo and ensuing sickness, radiation, etc. She fought to live not because she was afraid to die, but because she wanted to be here for her family. I began naming my dog's Jána's Hope because of the hope she had: Unfailing hope that either God was going to heal her of cancer and allow her to live to keep being a mom and wife OR hope that God would heal her of the pain and take her to Heaven to live with Him forever. You see, Jána had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She served Him and trusted in His sovereign will. His will was to bring her to Heaven. It may not have been our will. But I trust that He knows best for whatever reasons. And so did she. Don't get me wrong, she cried. And cried. And cried some more. Many days, actually most days. Because she loved her family and it was so hard to let go! But...

Now, she has her hair back! And she is in no more pain! And she is laughing with her bestest friend, Jesus Christ. I miss my friend very much, but I am very happy that for a Christian, death is not "good-bye". It is "I'll see you later." If you have never accepted Christ as your savior and asked Him to forgive you of all of the bad and fill you with all of His good, then please do. Trust Jesus as your personal Savior and best Friend, before it is too late. God Bless You.
